Recognizing the important contributions that Elgin Community College will make to the future growth and development of our community, beginning Fall 2010 Bradley University in collaboration with Elgin Community College (ECC) will offer twenty $3500 Presidents’ Scholarships to ECC students who transfer to Bradley University to complete their degrees. The Presidents’ Scholarship when combined with Bradley’s $5000 Transfer Excellence or $5000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship will total $8500.

Who is eligible to apply for The Presidents’ Scholarship?
Any current Elgin Community College (ECC) student with 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) who transfers to Bradley University as a full-time student. Students must be entering directly from ECC and have at least 30 transferable hours from ECC.
What is the value of The Presidents’ Scholarship?
The Presidents’ Scholarship is a renewable $3500 Scholarship that is in addition to the $5000 Transfer Excellence or $5000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship that the applicant will receive. Recipients of The Presidents’ Scholarship will receive total scholarship assistance of $8500.
How many scholarships will be awarded?
Up to 20 students per academic year will be selected to receive the scholarship.
Is the scholarship renewable?
Yes, so long as a recipient maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA at Bradley and attends school full-time.
How does a student apply for the scholarship?
A student must submit a scholarship application form by June 1 for Fall semester starts or September 1 for Spring semester starts and be admitted to Bradley University. The scholarship application is available below. Applications will be reviewed and scholarship recipients will be notified beginning March 1 for Fall and October 1 for Spring.
