The Presidents' Partnership Scholarship

Recognizing the important contributions that locally educated students will make to the future growth and development of our community, beginning Fall 2009 Bradley University in partnership with Illinois Central College will offer forty $3500 Presidents’ Partnership Scholarships to ICC students who transfer to Bradley University to complete their degrees in engineering, education, nursing, entrepreneurship or pre-professional health majors.  The Presidents’ Partnership Scholarship when combined with Bradley’s $5000 Transfer Excellence or $5000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship will total $8500.

Who is eligible to apply for The Presidents’ Partnership Scholarship?
Any current Illinois Central College (ICC) student with 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) who transfers to Bradley University as a full-time student to major in engineering, entrepreneurship, education, nursing, or pre-professional health majors.  Students must be entering directly from ICC and have at least 30 transferable hours from ICC.

What is the value of The Presidents’ Partnership Scholarship?
The Presidents’ Partnership Scholarship is a renewable $3500 Scholarship that is in addition to the $5000 Transfer Excellence or $5000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship that the applicant will receive.  Recipients of The Presidents’ Partnership Scholarship will receive total scholarship assistance of $8500.

How many scholarships will be awarded?
Up to 40 students per academic year will be selected to receive the scholarship.

Is the scholarship renewable?
Yes, so long as a recipient maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA at Bradley, remains enrolled in one of the targeted majors, and attends school full-time.  Recipients will lose the $3500 scholarship if they change their major but will retain their $5000 Transfer Excellence or PTK Scholarship.

How does a student apply for the scholarship?
A student must submit a scholarship application form by June 1 for Fall semester starts or September 1 for Spring semester starts and be admitted to one of the majors listed above.  The scholarship application is available below. Applications will be reviewed and scholarship recipients will be notified beginning March 1 for Fall and October 1 for Spring.
