Bradley University offers the following sources
of financial assistance. Since all students have individual characteristics
which determine eligibility for specific awards, seldom will an
individual "package" contain every program listed. If you want information
about an award that is not described here, please e-mail
us.
The following awards are based solely on academic performance without regard
to financial need. Award levels are guaranteed for qualified students whose
admission applications are complete by March 1.

Fine
Arts Recognition Awards
Awards up to $4000 per year are available to students majoring in
art, theatre and music or participating in competitive speech (Forensics).
Awards up to $500 are also available to non-music majors selected
for one of our many instrumental and vocal performance groups. Consideration
for fine arts recognition awards requires an audition or submission
of a portfolio.
A combination of factors are considered when making
these awards including a student's academic performance, Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) results, and eligibility for other
scholarships. Awards vary and can change from year-to-year. This
grant assistance could be funded by a variety of sources, including
Bradley, state, and federal grants. Grant assistance requires a
2.0 GPA for renewal.
Federal
Loans
At Bradley, federal loan recipients borrow directly from the federal
government. These low-interest loans are deferred until after graduation
as long as students maintain at least half-time enrollment. For
more information on federal loan programs, click
here.
College
Work Study
Students with limited family resources as determined by the results
of the FAFSA are provided this federally-funded opportunity to earn
"spending money" through part-time, on-campus employment. Students
typically work 8 to 10 hours per week at minimum wage earning about
$1500 per year. Paychecks are issued bi-weekly. Click
here for more information.
Students wishing to work who are not eligible
for College Work Study are able to find other on-campus employment
opportunities.
