Private… smaller school… near a big city…a lot of academic programs….It was everything I was looking for. So, I visited. The second I got to Bradley, I knew that this is where I wanted to go.
I found out about Bradley through an independent counselor. I told him what my criteria for colleges were and I wanted to be away from home. The counselor narrowed down my criteria and gave me a list of schools to research, and Bradley was one of them. I had never heard about Bradley before, but when I went online to look up the colleges on my list, I was really impressed. It was everything I was looking for.
I visited campus in August of my senior year. The second I got here, I knew this is where I wanted to go. I applied online in October, and knew by November that I was accepted and coming to Bradley. There was no doubt in my mind. I applied to four other schools, three private and one public, mostly on the east coast, except for Bradley. I really came here because of the people. Everyone was so nice and had a friendly personality. It definitely was a homey feeling. I get along with my roommate, and I know that this is where I want to be. I applied to the Academic Exploration Program (AEP). I wasn't really sure what I wanted to major in, so having the option of choosing AEP was one reason why I came here. I've been able to take courses that meet my general education requirements, as well as the major I'm thinking of choosing. |
