I came to Bradley without knowing what I wanted to major in. Through the undecided major program (AEP), sports, the guys on my floor freshman year — I got to know a lot more people than I thought I would. Bradley is big enough that you are always meeting new people. It's great having friends in areas that aren't just my major.
My first visit to Bradley was actually a cross country recruiting visit. It was the perfect fit and size for me, and the distance was ideal because my mom couldn't come to visit me every weekend. Bradley was the first and last college I visited. Not only am I a Division I athlete, but I also participate in the Bradley Chorale. At Bradley, I am able to balance both activities, and my academics. I'm not sure I would have been able to do that at a larger school. Here, I have a lot of support from my professors, coach and advisor. The campus size is great. You're never alone, and you always see people you know. In the classroom, professors are actually teaching the classes. None of my friends have that at their colleges. I started at Bradley in the Academic Exploration Program because I was really undecided about what major I wanted to pursue. Not only was my advisor great, but I was able to take personality and aptitude tests that helped me narrow down majors and professions that would be a good fit for me. I recently chose Business Accounting as my major, and plan on completing the 3:2 program which will allow me to take graduate level courses while I am an undergraduate. |
