Faith is thriving at Bradley University where students of different faiths serve others and promote awareness and religious diversity.
More than ten religious organizations, representing multiple faiths, are active at BU. Associations include the Hindu Youth Society, Newman Center, Hillel, InterVarsity, FOCUS, Kappa Phi, Sigma Theta Epsilon, Campus Crusade for Christ, Chi Alpha, Muslim Student Association and Worship @ Full Volume.
During a time in which religious participation among young adults is perceived to be dwindling, Bradley students continue to contribute to their respective groups. In an interview with Bradley’s alumni publication Hilltopics, Christine Bachman Wallinger ’05 said “If there’s something that important in your life, you don’t just want to keep it to yourself.” For the complete feature story, please go to: http://www.bradley.edu/hilltopics/07summer/feature/page3.shtml#chi.
Bradley students’ interest in faith-based groups is exemplified by their participation in a variety of meetings and studies conducted on a weekly basis. Students find opportunities not only to become a part of the University, but also receive support from the Peoria community. These organizations have collaborated on various philanthropic projects such as sponsoring campus speakers, attending mission trips and volunteering throughout Peoria.
